The first recording about Chinese New Year

The first recording about Chinese New Year Although Chinese New Year has already over 4000 years' history, before Han dynasty there were not direct writting recording about it. According to document of Han dynasty, in 104 B.C, the first year of the term of Emperor Han Wudi, the astronom Luo Xiahong and Dong Ping, etc. made the calendar "Tai Chu calendar" to replace the old calendar made in the previous dynasty, Qin dynasty. In the old calendar Chinese New Year Day was set on the first of October. In the new calendar, Chinese New Year Day was the first day of every year. This is the first direct written record about Chinese New Year.
